Reviewers about "Thoughts of a Secluded Mind"

"To sum it up: the cover is beautiful, the sounding is perfect, the music immediately crushed me with its innocent grace (love at first sight) – there are no complaints. I was about to give a 10, in their genre, they would really deserve it, but I’m a bit more cautious, and wait for the highest score until their next album. If they keep their form, I’ll give them the 10."
-Kronus Mortus SCORE 9.5/10

"One Without is one of these bands that really impress me much and of all the bands I hear and receive music from, One Without absolutely stand forward as one of my top favorites so far this year! Musically they sound tasteful and fresh, and by mixing metal, rock and pop into a fusion they have managed to get their own style and twist on their songs."
-Melodic Hardrock Today SCORE 100/100

"I get shivers right from the start, they have really succeded in weaving together all the mixxed styles like pop, rock and metal, add to that great choruses and verses that instantly gets to you." -Artrock.se SCORE 8.5/10

"One Without succeds in making a great album in "Thoughts of a Secluded Mind" and are not being restricted by the metal genre, but rather enriched by it!" -Musicscan.de SCORE 8/10

"The band took a risk by making the album in between rock and metal, but because of their strong identity and great songs the result is great" -Noise Web SCORE 7/10

BIOGRAPHY

The Swedish Gothenburg band One Without is the result of taking “The Gothenburg Metal Sound”
and implement it into a fusion of metal, rock and pop, making the sound incomparable and fresh.

“The idea has never been to sound like any other specific band, instead we try to focus on
making all ideas count, bringing forth a new and fresh sound tracing back to influences of
hundreds of other bands.”

With their debute album “Thoughts of a Secluded Mind”, mixed by Mattias Wänerstam (Avatar,
Within Y) and mastered by Dragan Tanakovic (Mustach, Europe, In Flames, Evergrey) - two of
the bigger names in the Swedish music industry, One Without sets a new standard to todays metal.

Formed in 2003 by Joonas Niskanen, the band has grown and evolved into a truly unique
form with most of their strength lying in the line up.

“We always work as a team, but we still bring out the individuality of each member
as much as we possibly can, which is what makes us able to create the sound we have.”

LIFE FORCE RECORDS ABOUT - ONE WITHOUT  is the result of taking the well-known “Gothenburg Metal Sound” and expanding it with elements of modern rock and pop in order to create an incomparable and fresh style of its own. There is nothing to fear about the combination of powerful brutality, catchy grooves and an advanced pop-approach.
It all depends on the self-confidence of the involved musicians and their songwriting skills, which is exactly
what makes the difference with ONE WITHOUT.

Their debut-album “Thoughts Of A Secluded Mind” is offering an invigorating mixture, that quickly catches the listeners with distinctive hook lines and the beautiful voice of Catrin Feymark. Diversity and depth are the main strengths the album is based on.

The Swedes are carving out their own melodic and exhilarating sound in between metal and rock, laying the
foundation for a bright future.
There is no question in how this band caught the attention of LIFEFORCE RECORDS:
ONE WITHOUT is one of the most promising young Scandinavian Rock/Metal acts!
